S n' K Racing

S n' K Racing is located in Iron Station North Carolina. We're the racing team of Skylar and Keith Spake. We travel all over the East coast racing 1/64 scale slot cars. And drag race 1/24 scale slot cars in Stanley NC. We race at SLOT SHOTS in Stanley NC, which has just gotten a 1/24 drag track. I (Skylar) do most of the racing, and love every minute of it. I have been racing for around 5 years. My favorite class to run would probably be T-Jets. I race T-Jets, Magna Traction, Box Stock, classic T-Jets, VHORS Trans Ams and, T-Jet modifieds. I race in the Southern Sportsman Series (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SouthernSportsmanRacing/), which holds races in TN., WV. and, NC. And this year they have added ATL., and SC. to the list.

 "Just looking back at some past postings of this group,and felt a wet
drop out of both eyes.Man,I tell you we had some good times.I miss all
that racing.I miss Carl and all his family,Todd Poovey,John,and all
those who raced at PITSTOP.We had a famliy of HO slot car racers.But
then one day,a dark cloud from the south moved over PITSTOP and to
this day still hangs over this old boys heart.I beleve one day we all
will race together once more.I feel bad for those who spent all that
money on cars and parts and raced hard when that computer said GO.....
I remember standing outside of PITSTOP one hot summer night,and the
sun was setting in the west and glowing inside on the faces and wide
smiles of those who was looking down at those little race cars flying
around the tracks,and I said to myself,man what a great time to be
racing slot cars.Then,it was all gone." -Chris W.

It was great racing with him and just being around him. He was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.                                                              Its not the same without you.
